In a statement released on Tuesday through his Special Assistant on Media and Strategy, Mark Chieshe, Dangiwa expressed gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve, describing his tenure as both an honour and a call to national duty.

He noted that during his time in office, he worked on policies and initiatives aimed at improving access to affordable housing for Nigerians.

Earlier the same day, President Tinubu relieved him of his position and nominated Muttaqha Rabe Darma (PhD) as his replacement for the ministry.

Reacting to the development, Dangiwa thanked the President for the trust placed in him, stating that it was a privilege to contribute to programmes designed to expand housing opportunities across the country.

He added that under Tinubu’s leadership, the ministry made notable progress in strengthening the housing sector as a driver of economic growth, job creation, and social inclusion.

Among the key achievements he highlighted were the rollout of the Renewed Hope Housing Programme, efforts to boost public-private partnerships in housing delivery, and reforms in land administration and housing finance.

Dangiwa also appreciated members of the Federal Executive Council, stakeholders in the housing sector, development partners, and ministry staff for their support and collaboration throughout his tenure.

He concluded by assuring that the handover process would be smooth and in line with the President’s directive, while emphasising that collective efforts during his time in office helped establish a stronger and more sustainable housing system in Nigeria.
