Breaking: Governor Makinde Expands Team With New Appointments Across Oyo State

This information was revealed in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, and a copy of the letter was provided  the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

Dated November 29, 2023, the letter specified that Mr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, is assigned the additional responsibility of combining the role of Special Adviser to the Governor on media with his existing portfolio.

Governor Makinde, in the communication, urged the newly appointed officials to carry out their responsibilities with commitment and allegiance to the state.

Among those selected by the governor are Oloye Suraj Abiodun as Special Adviser (Education Intervention), Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran as Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and Dr. Gbola Adetunji as Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (OYSACA).

Other appointees include Alhaji Murtala Ahmad as Special Assistant (Community Relations) I for the Arewa Community, Nwosu Innocent as Senior Special Assistant (Community Relations) 2 for the Igbo Community, Saka Moshood Olawale as Senior Special Assistant (OYSIEC), Hon. Yemi Taiwo as Chairman of the Oyo State Library Board, and Hon. Rauf Adekunle as Chairman of the Oyo State Pension Board.

Governor Makinde also announced the appointments of Mr. Rahman Abiodun Abdulrahim as Chairman of the Education Trust Fund, Hon. Atilola M.O. as Chairman of the Oyo State Scholarship Board, Hon. Akinsete Olakunle as Special Adviser on Housing and Urban Development, and Hon. Simeon Oyeleke as Special Adviser on Budget and Economic Planning.

Further appointments mentioned in the letter include Mrs. Aderonke Adedayo as Special Adviser on General Intervention & Donor Agencies, Hon. Samuel Ademola Adejumobi as Special Adviser on Legislative Matters, Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha as Special Adviser on Political Matters, Hon. Abideen Tokunbo Adeaga as Director General of the Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Hon. Mufutau Ogunremi as Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals, and Hon. Ramota Agberemi Dabo as Senior Special Assistant on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
