During his speech, President Tinubu urged Nigerians to prioritize nation-building for future generations, stressing the current administration’s responsibility to establish a solid foundation for prosperity and stability. As reported by Vanguard, the President also announced his intention to introduce the 2024 Supplemental Bill.

In addition to discussing forthcoming legislation, the session marked the official flag-off of the new National Anthem, subsequent to President Tinubu’s assent to the bill. Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio clarified that the President’s visit aimed to address the lawmakers and inaugurate the National Assembly Library.
