In his interaction with the media, Phillips conveyed his belief in the readiness of the PDP to lead Ogun State and Nigeria in the upcoming 2027 elections. He underscored the pressing need to rescue both Ogun State and Nigeria from what he described as “directionless leadership,” which he believes has exacerbated the plight of Nigerians through unjust and severe policies.

Phillips highlighted the recent gubernatorial election in Ogun State, lamenting what he perceived as a deviation from the true mandate of the people. However, he expressed optimism for a different outcome in the next election cycle, asserting the PDP’s strong positioning and expressing faith in victory with divine support.
