The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the 2026 Direct Entry application exercise to May 22, 2026.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to the board, the extension is intended to provide additional time for candidates seeking Direct Entry admission to complete their registration and submit all required documents for consideration.

JAMB noted that some applicants have been experiencing delays in obtaining academic credentials and other necessary paperwork needed for the registration process.

The new deadline is expected to ease pressure on affected candidates and ensure they do not miss out on the 2026 admission cycle.

This marks another adjustment to the registration timeline, following an earlier extension from the initial closing date of May 8. The board had also approved additional accredited registration centres nationwide to reduce congestion and improve accessibility for candidates.

Applicants have been advised to complete their registration early and avoid last-minute rushes, which may lead to challenges such as network disruptions, overcrowded centres, or incomplete submissions.

Meanwhile, JAMB is continuing preparations for the 2026 admission process ahead of its policy meeting scheduled for May 11, 2026.

The meeting is expected to set guidelines and procedures for admissions into tertiary institutions across the country.
