The Kano State Gubernatorial Election Petition Tribunal has given a directive for a rerun election between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). The Tribunal’s decision comes after assessing the evidence provided by both parties during the hearing.
The Tribunal found that the APC’s petition, which alleged that there were significant irregularities and a substantial breach of electoral laws during the initial polls, held merit. As a result of these findings, the Tribunal has mandated a fresh electoral process to ensure a free and fair election in the state.
