In a separate incident, kidnappers have demanded ₦75 million for the release of Reverend Canon Olowolagba, an Anglican priest, and his family. The family was abducted along the Ise Akoko-Iboropa road in Ondo State.

Reverend Olowolagba, his wife, and two children were taken on Sunday between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm while traveling from Ipesi through Isua Akoko. They were intercepted near Ise-Akoko.

The Bishop of Akoko Anglican Diocese, Reverend Babajide Bada, confirmed the kidnapping, noting that the family’s absence was first noticed the next morning when church members realized they hadn’t arrived at their destination in Ikaram.
