Expressing his commitment to collaboration with various stakeholders, Governor Adeleke outlined his administration’s strategic plans for transforming Osun into a global tourist destination. These plans encompass a range of initiatives, including hosting international events, establishing entertainment villages across the three senatorial districts, upgrading tourist sites, providing logistical support for film production in Osun, and developing a cluster industry for the craft sub-sector.
Governor Adeleke shared his vision for leveraging the global influence of acclaimed music stars like Davido and B-Red to organize global concerts. Additionally, he proposed the establishment of an annual global Yoruba Heritage week aimed at attracting thousands of tourists from South America, Europe, and North America.
The governor underscored the significance of infrastructure development in attracting investors and fostering growth in the creative industry. Over the past year, the focus has been on improving road networks, healthcare facilities, workers’ welfare, water accessibility, school facilities, and security measures to create a conducive environment for the creative sector.
