President Bola Tinubu has formally submitted a letter to the National Assembly, seeking the confirmation of 19 nominees slated for the commissioner positions at the National Population Commission (NPC). This disclosure was made during the Senate’s plenary session on Tuesday, December 12, with Senate President Godswill Akpabio announcing the contents of Tinubu’s letter.

Furthermore, President Tinubu has urged the red chamber to endorse the nominations of Babajide Fasina (South-West), Enorense Amadasu (South-South), and Bashir Indabawa (North-West) as commissioners for the NPC. The Senate, under the leadership of Senator Godswill Akpabio, has given the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) a two-week window to furnish a report on the nominations.
