We are committed to enhancing the well-being of our courageous armed forces and their families, as reflected in the 2024 budget.”
President Tinubu sympathized with the families affected by the Tudun Biri bombing in Kaduna, expressing sorrow for the lives lost during the observance of Maulud. He stated, “We are not satisfied until we eliminate insecurity in Nigeria,” emphasizing the need for sustained efforts.
Vice President, representing the President, visited Tudun Biri to announce the government’s plan to rebuild the city and support the families of the victims. Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum praised the collaboration between security agencies and his government, acknowledging improvements in security.
President Tinubu commended the Shehu of Borno for backing peace efforts and pledged to involve traditional institutions in maintaining grassroots stability. The Shehu of Borno urged the President to address the infrastructure challenges in areas affected by insurgency, advocating for the revival of the Lake Chad Commission and initiatives for job creation.
