He stated, “The Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Naval Staff, and the Chief of Air Staff are now working in tandem, fostering productivity and efficiency in their operations. Additionally, we maintain close coordination with the office of the National Security Adviser, the police, NSCDC, and all other security agencies.”

Badaru highlighted significant progress made in the past year due to this synergy, citing the neutralization of over 9,300 bandits and insurgents, the arrest of approximately 7,000 individuals, and the rescue of 4,641 kidnapped victims. Furthermore, 4,882 assorted weapons and 83,900 assorted ammunition were recovered within the same timeframe. Among those neutralized were notorious bandit leaders who commanded insurgent and terrorist groups.

Furthermore, he disclosed that the military’s efforts to enhance oil production in the country resulted in the arrest of 1,437 suspects and the neutralization of 363 individuals in the past year.

Badaru emphasized, “In our pursuit of increasing crude oil production, we have apprehended 1,437 suspects, neutralized 363, and liberated 245 captives in the Niger Delta region. We have also dismantled 3,051 dug pits, 1,276 boats, and 3,924 storage tanks, among other operations. Consequently, most of the illegal refineries have ceased operations, and numerous vessels have been apprehended.”
