Ewudun brushed aside the defection, deeming it insignificant and characterizing Senator Solomon Aku Ewuga as a political opportunist willing to engage in secretive negotiations for hollow offices. Drawing from historical political events, Ewudun recalled the 2015 general elections, spotlighting promises made to Senator Solomon Aku Ewuga that resulted in the contentious acquisition of the Senatorial seat won by Senator Yusuf Nagogo.
He highlighted Senator Nagogo’s impactful tenure in the National Assembly, contrasting it with Ewuga’s actions. The statement shed light on the turmoil linked to Senator Solomon Aku Ewuga, citing the Assaikio crisis and the devastating aftermath of the Ombatse saga, both events resulting in loss of lives and properties.
Furthermore, Ewudun called for an apology from Ewuga to the people of Nasarawa North Senatorial Zone for deceiving them with false promises of Federally approved loans. Advising Ewuga to consider his age and standing within the community he represented in the Senate before making any political moves, Ewudun cautioned against actions that could bring ridicule upon Ewuga.
In an effort to uplift the morale of Labour Party members in Nasarawa State amidst the alleged defection, Ewudun stressed the collaborative effort between the Labour Party and the PDP during the Nasarawa State Governorship Election, expressing confidence in the joint struggle for actualization.
