The agreement was formalized during a meeting involving the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, the UNDP Resident Representative, Mohamed Yahya, and the German Ambassador to Nigeria, Annett Gunther, held on Friday.
According to a statement from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), delivered by Zakari Mijinyawa, the collaboration aims to support the efforts of the Special Committee on Police Reform, which was established by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the recent National Police Council meeting.
The NSA, in the course of the meeting, reaffirmed President Tinubu’s dedication to spearheading a comprehensive Police reform process characterized by trust, respect for human rights, adherence to the rule of law, and the delivery of efficient public service.
Ribadu also expressed gratitude for the UNDP’s ongoing assistance in modernizing Police training and its extensive support for Police reform initiatives in Nigeria.
