Speaking during a two-day post-inauguration retreat for members of the House Committee on Defence, Abbas underscored the necessity for a collective endeavor to confront the intricate security issues facing the nation.
The statement, issued by Mr. Musa Krishi, the Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Speaker, in Abuja on Saturday, conveyed Abbas’s call for a holistic approach to national security.
The Speaker emphasized the urgency of reinforcing the capacity of the Armed Forces and other security agencies.
He asserted that the 10th House of Representatives is committed to supporting security agencies through initiatives such as adequate funding, the provision of modern equipment, training programs, and enhanced welfare packages for security personnel.
