uring this meeting, the organized labor will assess the planned strike’s details, particularly in light of the recent assault on the National President of the NLC, Joe Ajaero.

The NEC will also review the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Federal Government and the Organized Labor on October 2, 2023, following the removal of fuel subsidies.

TUC’s National Vice-President, Tommy Etim, revealed this development on Tuesday.

Last Friday, the labor unions had issued a five-day ultimatum ahead of their protest in response to Ajaero’s arrest in Owerri, Imo State.

The labor organizations are demanding the removal of the state’s police commissioner and the arrest and prosecution of the governor’s aide alleged to be responsible for the attack.
