Governor Otti highlighted Aba’s diverse economic landscape, encompassing light and heavy manufacturing, micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises, as well as various trading activities. Expressing his appreciation, Otti commended the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, fellow lawmakers, and members of the State Executive Council for their collaborative efforts in passing the executive bill. He affirmed that the legal framework provided by the new law would propel Aba’s revitalization and spur much-needed development.

During the bill presentation ceremony, Abia State’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ikechukwu Uwanna, informed that the House of Assembly had passed the executive bill into law on December 8, 2023.

Providing insights into the significance of the newly enacted law, Mr. Uche Ukeje, the Director-General of GADA, described it as a specialized instrument poised to steer the comprehensive development of Aba.
