A Public Administration graduate holding a Higher National Diploma (HND) from Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, Victor Erinsakin, expressed gratitude towards Governor Godwin Obaseki for the accreditation of National Diploma (ND) and HND programs at the polytechnic. In a statement provided to Saturday PUNCH, Erinsakin highlighted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a prestigious Polytechnic in China, resulting in significant collaborations. The statement acknowledged Governor Obaseki’s transformative leadership, emphasizing the successful accreditation of numerous ND and HND programs at the Polytechnic. Notably, Erinsakin commended the progress made in mobilizing students for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), revealing that 15 programs had received accreditation in the Polytechnic in the year 2023 alone.

Erinsakin credited the positive changes in the state’s education system to the implementation of the ‘Edo Best’ policy by Dr. Joan Oviawe, the Commissioner of Education in Edo State. He asserted that this policy played a crucial role in transforming the education landscape of the state, positioning it among the best in Nigeria.
