Separate resignation letters addressed to the governor through the Secretary to the State Government were sighted by our correspondent, marking a total of nine confirmed resignations from the commissioner level. Both Nbina and Ben-Chioma had previously served as commissioners in the immediate past administration of Nyesom Wike.

The resignations come amid the political turmoil that has gripped the state since the bombing of the State House of Assembly on October 29, 2023. When contacted, Nbina confirmed his resignation, citing personal reasons related to family commitments and expressing no issues with the governor.
