Earlier this week, the President also commissioned the Southern Parkway, one of the legacy projects completed during his administration’s first year.

The Abuja Metro Station was originally commissioned in 2018 by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Today, President Tinubu also officiated the re-adoption of the former National Anthem, which was approved by the Senate on Tuesday and the House of Representatives last week. Speaking at the event, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of national unity and cooperation, urging Nigerians to work together for the betterment of the country. He highlighted the government’s commitment to its promises.

The newly reinstated National Anthem was sung at 12:48 PM.

In his address, President Tinubu praised Nigerians for 25 years of uninterrupted democracy, expressing his gratitude to the leaders and citizens who have contributed to building the nation. He acknowledged the significance of the legislative institution, referring to it as a representation of the country’s collective consciousness and unity.

“This institution, the hallowed chamber, represents our consciousness, freedom, and sense of belonging. You have sung the latest national anthem, ‘Nigeria, We Hail Thee,’ which symbolizes our diversity and unity,” said President Tinubu.

He urged all Nigerians to continue collaborating and working together to build the nation, emphasizing that it is a collective responsibility to ensure the country’s progress and stability
