NELFUND’s Managing Director, Akintunde Sawyer, shared this update during a press briefing in Abuja. He confirmed that today’s disbursement will be made from NELFUND’s account and highlighted the substantial amount already given to students.

Sawyer also noted that a total of 260,000 loans, covering both institutional fees and living expenses, have been approved. The initiative aims to benefit around 1.2 million students as part of President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s key program. President Tinubu had approved N35 billion for the scheme, following the signing of the supporting legislation on April 3.
