The budget, titled “Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery,” was presented at a plenary session on Thursday.

It is divided into two components: N165,654,976,700 for recurrent expenditure and N108,254,020,710 for capital expenditure.

Governor Adeleke emphasized that the budget is focused on rejuvenating the state’s struggling economy.

He highlighted that the budget presentation aligns with the state’s legal requirements, which mandate that the budget be presented to the House before the end of the year.

Additionally, he expressed his gratitude to the House of Assembly for their cooperation and pledged to work together to elevate the state to new heights, seeking the House’s support in the coming years.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, reaffirmed the House’s commitment to collaborate with the Executive branch to ensure the successful implementation of the budget.

He stressed that the Assembly would approve a budget that addresses the state’s challenges with a strong sense of responsibility.
