The founder of the Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation)—now known as The Nation Family—disclosed his health condition in a pre-recorded sermon broadcast to his congregation on Thursday.

Known for his extravagant lifestyle and youth-focused ministry, Pastor Adegboyega shared that he recently underwent a major surgery as part of his cancer treatment.

“I was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, you heard me right. I’ve been dealing with this for several months. I just had a major surgery—that’s why I’m not with you today,” he said.
“I believe God has granted me the grace to continue living for a new level, a new stage.”

In a gesture of compassion, the pastor also announced a £100,000 donation to aid cancer awareness and treatment, especially among young patients.

Adegboyega, who gained prominence through his bold, unorthodox ministry and outreach to troubled youths, has long divided opinion—praised by some for his charisma and criticized by others for his flashy image, often seen in designer outfits and luxury cars, and for his connections to celebrities.

In 2022, SPAC Nation was dissolved by UK authorities after a High Court inquiry found that the organisation could not account for over £1.87 million in expenses, citing financial mismanagement.
