Bride Cries Out After Event Decorator Vanishes With ₦300,000

A Nigerian bride has taken to social media to express her frustration after an event decorator allegedly failed to appear at her wedding despite receiving ₦300,000 for the decoration of the venue.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the bride said she hired the decorator, identified as EventByMuse, after discovering the business on Instagram and subsequently agreed on a ₦300,000 fee for the decoration of her wedding venue.

She explained that she initially paid ₦150,000 before completing the agreed payment with another ₦150,000.

The bride alleged that the decorator was expected to arrive at the venue in the morning to begin preparations but failed to show up. She said repeated calls and messages to the decorator went unanswered, leaving her distressed on a day she had anticipated as one of the happiest moments of her life.

According to her account, the decorator’s absence left the wedding venue without the decoration she had paid for. She said some of her guests eventually had to improvise and help make the venue presentable for the ceremony.

The bride further alleged that the decorator collected an additional ₦5,000 from each person for their tables but still did not appear at the event.

Expressing her disappointment in a video shared online, the bride said she had tried repeatedly to contact the decorator but received no response. She described the situation as extremely distressing and said the absence of any decoration had negatively affected her special day.

The bride subsequently shared screenshots of her conversations with the decorator as well as payment details, seeking opinions from social media users over the incident.

She also questioned the decision to collect the agreed ₦300,000 payment and additional charges for tables without eventually providing the contracted service.

The allegations have generated reactions online, with several social media users sympathising with the bride and calling on the decorator to provide an explanation for failing to attend the wedding.
