The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated discussions with the US National Transportation Safety Board to facilitate the investigation, adhering to international aviation regulations. Simultaneously, American investigators have commenced the examination of the crash site, identifying crucial components and recovering electronic devices for thorough analysis.
Reports indicating adverse weather conditions at the time of the crash are undergoing verification through meteorological analysis. Nigerian dignitaries, including Governor Dapo Abiodun, Aliko Dangote, and Pastor E.A. Adeboye, have expressed condolences by visiting the families of the deceased.
Wigwe’s hometown has witnessed protests, urging exhaustive investigations and the repatriation of the victims’ remains. The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to release preliminary and final investigation reports, with continuous efforts aimed at determining the crash’s cause and enhancing transportation safety in Nigeria and the United States.
