Buhari’s Powerful Birthday Message To Tinubu: ‘A Longstanding And Dependable Partner

In a telephone call on Friday, Buhari joined Tinubu’s family and the nation in celebrating the President’s 73rd birthday.

He expressed that he and his family are praying for Tinubu’s longevity and the ongoing success of his administration.

“When we pray for our leaders, we are praying for ourselves and the nation. This is a responsibility we owe to both ourselves and the country,” Buhari told Tinubu during the call.

Buhari also expressed profound gratitude for Tinubu’s crucial role in shaping the All Progressives Congress (APC) and supporting his own rise to the presidency.

“My family and I remain forever grateful to President Tinubu and other leaders of the party for their invaluable contributions in establishing the APC, which enabled me to become president after several attempts, and in facilitating another APC administration under Tinubu’s leadership,” he said.

Reflecting on Tinubu’s legacy, Buhari hailed him as a political icon dedicated to democratic ideals and party-building.

“No history of this country would be complete without recognizing President Tinubu’s numerous contributions as an entrepreneur, party leader, activist, party organizer, builder, reliable ally, and consistent winner in democratic elections.
