Burna Boy Receives Two 2023 Grammy Nominations, While Wizkid And Davido Receive None.

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, is a well-known Nigerian singer and Grammy winner who has received two nominations for the upcoming 2023 Grammy Awards.

The only singer from Nigeria to receive a nomination for the prestigious awards ceremony on February 5, 2023 is Burna Boy.

For his song “Last Last,” Burna Boy was nominated in the category of “Best Global Music Performance” alongside Arooj Aftab and Anoushka, Matt B and Eddy Kenzo, Rocky Dawuni featuring Blvk H3ro, Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode.

He was also nominated for “Best Global Music Album” for his album “Love, Damini,” alongside Berklee Indian Ensemble, Angélique Kidjo and Ibrahim Maalouf, Anoushka Shankar, Metropole Orkest, and Jules Buckley featuring Manu Delago and Masa Takumi.

This comes just a few days after he was named ‘Best African Act’ at the MTV EMAS 2022.
