Tems Has Received A 2023 Grammy Nomination.

Tems, a rising star in Nigerian music, has received a Grammy nomination for the following year. The best melodic rap performance and best rap song categories both recognized the 27-year-old singer and songwriter with two nominations each.

She received her nominations for the hit song “Wait For You,” which also features Drake, she co-wrote with American rapper Future.

Similar news involves the Grammy Award-winning and well-known Nigerian singer Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, who has received two nominations for the upcoming 2023 Grammy Awards.

The only singer from Nigeria to receive a nomination for the prestigious awards ceremony on February 5, 2023 is Burna Boy.

For his song “Last Last,” Burna Boy was nominated in the category of “Best Global Music Performance” alongside Arooj Aftab and Anoushka, Matt B and Eddy Kenzo, Rocky Dawuni featuring Blvk H3ro, Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode.

He was nominated for “Best Global Music Album” along with the Berklee Indian Ensemble, Angélique Kidjo and Ibrahim Maalouf, Anoushka Shankar, Metropole Orchestra, and Jules Buckley with Manu Delago and Masa Takumi for his “Love, Damini” album.

He won “Best African Act” at the MTV EMAS 2022 just a few days prior to this.
