Bagudu made this call during the National Stakeholders’ Workshop on the Formulation of the National Strategy for the Advancement of Statistics (NSDS) Phase III for 2024-2028, held in Abuja on Tuesday.
Represented by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Neboolisa Anako, Bagudu emphasized that the new NSDS would address existing gaps and challenges within the statistical system.
He noted that the objective is to establish a unified, integrated, and comprehensive data production system that accurately reflects the current realities in the country.
Bagudu highlighted that statistics would play a crucial role in evaluating the progress of the federal government’s eight-point agenda under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
