In an open letter addressed to Governor Barr. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State, a copy of which has been made available to LEADERSHIP Weekend, AAC’s spokesman, Joshua Michael, articulated the request.
The letter also calls for the temporary suspension of the rector, thereby allowing the investigative panel unrestricted access to the polytechnic’s records.
In response, Bldr. John Dawam, the rector of the polytechnic, stated, “Let the visitation panel come. I am as strong as a lion, my records are there for the panel to peruse.
” He defended himself against the allegations, asserting that they were driven by malice and animosity with the intention of inciting his removal from office.
He further contended that the accusers were individuals seeking personal gain and prominence within the current administration.
Contrarily, the accusers asserted that Bldr. Dawam lacked substantial experience upon his arrival at the polytechnic, having never served in roles such as head of department, dean of school, director, or any other relevant positions that would have provided him with the necessary administrative background.
