Four undergraduate students from Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, are currently in police custody for their alleged involvement in the fatal beating of a fellow student. The incident took place in a private hostel outside the school premises, as reported by DAILY POST last week.
The suspects are said to have attacked the victim, whose identity remains unknown at this time, allegedly in response to being filmed by the deceased. According to an anonymous source among the students, the severe beating inflicted by the assailants ultimately led to the victim’s death.
Ejire Adeyemi Toun, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state police command, confirmed the incident on Friday. The PPRO stated, “The alleged culprits were four, but I cannot confirm their names now. They have been arrested while an investigation is still ongoing over the matter.
