Speaking on Wednesday, September 27, in a message addressed to troops to mark the Eid-El-Maulud celebration, Gen. Musa emphasized the military’s integral role in upholding peace and stability within the nation.

The CDS regarded this occasion as a valuable moment to express gratitude to Almighty Allah for His blessings, protection, and guidance, particularly during these trying and demanding times.

He stated, “This year’s Eid-El-Maulud celebration provides an opportunity for members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) to embrace the virtues exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed and to pray earnestly for the unity and progress of our beloved nation.”

He continued, “As a significant segment of society, the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) remains steadfast in our commitment to ensuring peace and stability in our nation.

We fervently pray that, with the dedication of all Nigerians, the Almighty God will guide us through the formidable security challenges we face.”

Gen. Musa called upon all Muslims to engage in heartfelt prayers to Almighty Allah, seeking peace and prosperity for Nigeria. He extended warm wishes for a joyful and tranquil celebration.

Additionally, he reaffirmed the unwavering loyalty of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to constitutional democracy under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
