Charly Boy Breaks Silence On Daughter’s Decision To Come Out As Lesbian

Veteran Nigerian entertainer Charly Boy has opened up about how he came to accept the sexual orientation of his two daughters after both women came out as lesbians at different times.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Charly Boy disclosed in an interview that his younger daughter was the first to tell him about her sexuality several years ago, while her elder sister later opened up about being a lesbian.

The entertainer admitted that he initially found the revelation difficult to accept, particularly because his younger daughter had not had children at the time, while her elder sister had already established a family.

Charly Boy explained that his concerns eventually shifted toward ensuring that his daughters were happy and able to live independently. He noted that his elder daughter is a mother of six and also has a great-grandchild, stressing that she is an adult capable of making decisions about her own life.

He said that rather than allowing the situation to create conflict within the family, he chose to respond with love, support and guidance.

Charly Boy further explained that he has learned to approach his children differently, particularly younger generations, saying parents can offer advice and reasoning but cannot force their adult children to live according to their wishes.

He emphasized that his relationship with his children is ultimately based on love and mutual understanding, adding that he did not want to become a rigid or unsupportive father.

The entertainer also said that the traditional approach of commanding or forcing children to obey their parents is no longer effective, noting that parents should instead guide their children and allow them to make their own decisions.
