Charly Boy Makes Shocking Confession About Alcohol, Reveals What He Drinks Instead

Nigerian entertainer and activist Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has revealed that water is his favourite drink, disclosing that he has never consumed alcohol despite admitting that he smokes.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the veteran entertainer made the revelation during an interview with Leadership, where he spoke about his personal lifestyle and the importance of men prioritising their health.

When asked about his preferred drink, Charly Boy responded, “Water. I have never taken alcohol. I don’t drink, but I smoke.”

The outspoken entertainer also urged men to stop suffering in silence and become more open about their health challenges, warning that the belief that men must always appear strong has discouraged many from seeking help when they need it.

Reflecting on his personal experience, Charly Boy recalled publicly discussing his health struggles after being diagnosed with cancer. He said he deliberately spoke about the condition on national television to encourage men to confront sensitive health issues rather than hide them out of fear or embarrassment.

He criticised the long-standing notion that men should not cry or express vulnerability, describing the mindset as harmful and unnecessary.

Charly Boy particularly highlighted the need for men to pay attention to prostate health, explaining that fear and embarrassment often prevent them from discussing problems affecting their reproductive health.

He encouraged men to seek medical advice and undergo appropriate screening, stressing that early detection can improve the chances of managing prostate-related conditions effectively.

The entertainer also advised men, particularly those approaching the ages of 35 to 40, to speak with healthcare professionals about when to begin prostate health assessments based on their individual risk factors and medical history.
