While speculation circulates about a potential coalition involving the trio to form a joint opposition against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), a rumor that the Labour Party has denied, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo faction expressed reservations about the viability of such a partnership.

The statement read: “The possibility of collapse in their talks because Nigerians will not accept Atiku or Kwankwaso as leaders of an alliance.

Nigerians know that the uncharitable disposition and desperation of Atiku Abubakar will never allow him to support Peter Obi to become the leader of the opposition.”

The faction also cautioned Peter Obi to be wary of failed politicians seeking to exploit his credibility and popularity to further their own interests. It warned against any attempts to undermine President Bola Tinubu through such alliances.

The statement further indicated that Nigerians are closely monitoring the developments surrounding the potential coalition and emphasized the potential negative impact on Peter Obi’s reputation if he chooses to play a secondary role in the proposed alliance.
