During an interview at the 5th Annual Lecture/Conference of the Association of Foreign Relations Professionals of Nigeria (AFRPN) in Abuja, Chief Anyaoku condemned the coup and expressed surprise at its occurrence.
He emphasized that Nigeria should work towards restoring constitutional governance in Niger, as developments in the neighboring country can impact the security and stability of Nigeria.
President Gani Lawal of AFRPN, in his welcome address, emphasized the importance of training professionals involved in governmental activities across national frontiers.
He stressed the need for diplomacy, protocol training, and effective foreign policy implementation in a rapidly changing global environment. He further asserted that training is a crucial ingredient for successful foreign policy implementation, economic development, and governance in Nigeria.
