A statement issued by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, lauded the COAS for acknowledging the paper as well-researched.
Lagbaja further acknowledged that this presentation would reinvigorate the Army’s awareness of emerging technologies and their ramifications for operational efficiency.
Lagbaja revealed that the Nigerian Army, as an integral part of the broader society, is already actively integrating emerging technologies into its establishments and institutions.
He reiterated the NA’s commitment to ongoing development, recognizing that it cannot remain detached from the ever-evolving dynamics of its internal and external environments.
Earlier in the proceedings, Rear Admiral Olumuyiwa Olotu, the Commandant of the National Defence College, highlighted the paper’s significance in unveiling the potential of emerging technologies to significantly impact the current and future operational engagements of the Nigerian Army.
He stressed that, as technological advancements continue to progress, the NA must persist in the adoption and integration of evolving innovations to maintain a competitive edge in various operational theaters.
