In an official statement, Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, expressed the profound loss her passing represents for the Army and the entire military community.
The statement highlighted Major General Kale’s enduring legacy of selfless service to Nigeria and humanity, underscoring the lasting impact she has left on many lives.
General Lagbaja offered prayers for the repose of her soul and for the bereaved family to find strength in coping with this irreplaceable loss.
General Aderonke Kale, celebrated for her transformative contributions to women and gender mainstreaming within the Nigerian military, hailed from a family of professionals, with her father being a pharmacist and her mother, a teacher.
Her educational journey took her from Lagos and Zaria for primary education to St. Anne’s School in Ibadan and Abeokuta Grammar School for post-primary education.
Opting to pursue Medicine, she earned admission to the University College, later the University of Ibadan, before specializing in Psychiatry at the University of London following her graduation as a medical doctor.
