The spokesperson for the Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Chibuikem Diala, conveyed concerns to reporters, asserting that INEC was implementing a similar practice across the state.
Diala’s campaign organization discovered that the designated PU officers, who had undergone INEC training, were replaced at the last minute by individuals who had not participated in the commission’s training.
In response to the viral dissemination of forged results from Kogi State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has addressed the issue. YIAGA Africa, a civil society organization, had raised an alarm on Saturday morning regarding the premature release of election results from a polling unit in Kogi before the completion of the exercise.
The reported results were alleged to have originated from Polling Unit 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/Mangogo in Kogi State.
