Residents of Port Harcourt in Nigeria are using social media to urge the police to intervene and rescue an eight-year-old girl named Miracle, who has been subjected to repeated physical abuse by her guardian.
A concerned Nigerian man shared distressing videos depicting Miracle’s battered body, revealing significant swelling in various parts. In a plea to the police, he stated:
“Dear @PoliceNG, please take immediate action and apprehend the guardian responsible for attempting to harm this young girl. I am frustrated with the state of our country. The government’s actions seem heartless, and it appears that citizens can be just as cruel. What is happening here? Why not return the child to her parents for her safety.
