In a conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, he revealed that he was frequently mocked by children in his neighbourhood while growing up. He said the ridicule followed him everywhere, and at times even his siblings used the same hurtful names during disagreements, which made the experience more painful.
According to him, the constant teasing had a deep emotional impact and pushed him into a dark place mentally. He admitted that there was a period when he felt overwhelmed by the treatment he received and struggled with painful thoughts due to how he was perceived by society.
Chinedu also highlighted the important role his mother played during those difficult years. He said she supported and encouraged him, advising him to ignore the insults and focus on his education, since he was unable to engage in physical work like many of his peers. He credited her guidance as a key factor that helped him stay hopeful and ultimately shaped his journey to success.
