Chioma Akpotha Breaks Down In Emotional Tribute After Father’s D3ath

Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha has announced the death of her father, Leonard Ndukaife Chukwuka, revealing that his passing has left her without either of her parents.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the actress shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram on Friday, October 2, 2026, alongside photographs of her late father.

Akpotha disclosed that her mother passed away 13 years ago and said the death of her father has left her struggling to come to terms with the reality of losing both parents.

The actress described her father as a source of comfort and a deeply cherished part of her life, saying she was finding it difficult to put her grief into words.

She expressed gratitude to God that her father lived a long life and had the opportunity to see his children and grandchildren. She also appreciated the precious moments they shared, particularly during the later years of his life.

Akpotha noted that regardless of how long people have their parents, the desire for more time, another conversation or another embrace never disappears.

She said she had kept the news private while trying to process her grief before deciding to make the announcement publicly. She subsequently asked her fans, friends and well-wishers to remember her, her siblings and the entire Chukwuka family in their prayers.

The actress added that details of her father’s funeral would be made public when the family was ready. She concluded her tribute by expressing her enduring love for her late father and bidding him farewell.
