During a visit from members of the International Association of World Peace Advocates, Rivers State chapter, who held a road walk to mark the 2024 International Day of Peace, Fubara’s message was conveyed by Dr. George Nwaeke, the Head of Service for the Rivers State Civil Service, at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

Fubara underscored the necessity for residents to actively promote peace throughout the state and Nigeria, especially at a time when the country faces significant challenges. He remarked, “Thank you for recognizing the special qualities of our governor. His ability to refrain from retaliating reflects true strength, which is essential for peace.”

He continued, “On this International Day of Peace, let us spread the message of peace throughout our state and within our families. Our administration is committed to fostering peace, ensuring that all citizens ultimately benefit from our peace advocacy.”

Juliet Wokocha, Director of the International Association of World Peace Advocates, urged, “We must maintain peace in this state. Peace is vital for survival, promoting development and facilitating the growth that our citizens desire from Governor Fubara.”
