COAS Olukoye Hails Troops For Their Unwavering Sacrifices In Service To The Nation

General Oluyede acknowledged that the personnel’s efforts have been vital in ensuring peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations nationwide.

He made these remarks in his New Year message to the troops during a special lunch at the Brigade Tactical Headquarters in Tagina, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, on Wednesday.

Represented by Brigadier General Taiye Ahmed, Commander of the 18 Brigade, Oluyede urged the soldiers to remain focused, disciplined, and loyal to the established authorities. He also encouraged them to sustain their patriotism and continue delivering excellence in their duties.

The Emir of Kagara, Alhaji Ahmadu Attahiru II, who was represented by the Hakimin Tagina and Alhaji Garba Bako, praised the “swift and timely responses” of the troops, which he said had significantly reduced security threats in the region. Attahiru also emphasized that the establishment of the 18 Brigade Tactical Headquarters in Tagina was a positive move, benefiting both local security and the area’s economy.

The event concluded with prayers from the Chaplains, wishing for a successful and prosperous 2025.
