The nomination reportedly stems from concerns raised in September about the Supreme Court operating with only 10 justices, far below its constitutional strength of 21, due to retirements and deaths.

In response on Sunday, the Director of Information at NJC, Soji Oye, refuted the claims, stating that he has never engaged in discussions with anyone regarding the list of justices’ nominees from the FJSC.

He dismissed the social media reports as a deliberate act of mischief-makers, emphasizing that official statements on such matters always come through his office.
