Senate President Godswill Akpabio has refuted allegations made by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan during her Sallah Homecoming rally in Okehi, Kogi State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
During the rally on April 1, 2025, Natasha claimed that Akpabio conspired with Kogi Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his predecessor, Yahaya Bello, to assassinate her. According to Natasha, Akpabio allegedly discussed her recall with Governor Ododo on March 12, but Ododo deemed it impossible due to her popularity among the masses. Dissatisfied, Akpabio reportedly met with Yahaya Bello, accompanied by Senator Asuquo, to discuss both funding Natasha’s recall and plotting her assassination. Natasha asserted that Akpabio instructed that the killing should take place in Okehi rather than Abuja to make it appear as a local act.
In response, Eseme Eyiboh, the Special Adviser to the Senate President on Media and Publicity, dismissed the allegations, stating that Akpabio would not be distracted by baseless claims. Eyiboh emphasized that the burden of proof lies with Natasha, adding that Akpabio remains focused on collaborating with fellow senators and the executive to fulfill the Renewed Hope agenda for Nigeria.
