During an interview on Echo Room, Portable recounted an experience with a car dealer who advised him not to engage in a feud with Zlatan, claiming that the rapper was merely using him for clout. The dealer reportedly remarked that he did not even know Zlatan’s songs and had only recently heard his name.

Portable expressed his views by saying, “A lot of wealthy people don’t know the lyrics of some of these artists. What are they singing? Are those songs? You can’t even do call and response. Is that music, or are you joking?”

Meanwhile, Portable addressed misconceptions about his mental health, stating that his recent detention offered an opportunity to clear the air. The singer had been detained and arraigned over alleged conspiracy and assault involving officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

Portable shared his experience in custody, mentioning that the cell leader stepped down for him, but he declined the position, insisting the cell was not his home. He also spoke about how he avoided the usual harsh treatment of newcomers by “blessing” the prisoners in Cell 4.

He recounted, “When I got there, the head of the cell offered me his position, but I refused, saying this is not my house. Some of the cellmates suggested praying together, but I declined, saying our prayers wouldn’t be effective together because of our different circumstances. I haven’t killed anyone, so I told them to pray on their own.”
