The aide, Comrade Femi Awogboro, said Adelabu remains actively in the race and has not been barred from participating in the exercise scheduled to hold in the state.

He stressed that the information circulating about any disqualification did not originate from any official source within the party.

Awogboro described the reports as misleading, alleging that they were being spread to create confusion among supporters of the aspirant and the general public.

He further claimed that the intention behind the rumours was to weaken Adelabu’s growing support ahead of the primary election.

He urged party members, supporters, and residents of Oyo State to disregard the claims and remain focused on the party’s official process.

According to him, opponents were only attempting to sow division because they see Adelabu as a strong contender in the race.

Awogboro maintained that there was no justification at any level of the party for Adelabu’s removal from the contest, adding that his experience in both public service and private sector leadership speaks for itself.

He also said Adelabu remains fully prepared for the primary and confident of securing the party’s ticket for the 2027 elections.
