Controversy Erupts As EFCC Allegedly Grants Special Privilege To Yahaya Bello While Denying Others, Including Bobrisky....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Daniel Bwala, former spokesperson for the now-defunct Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, has criticized the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for what he perceives as preferential treatment towards former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello compared to individuals like the Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky, who recently faced legal consequences for public currency abuse.

According to reports from Naija News, the EFCC has leveled accusations against Yahaya Bello, including the alleged misappropriation of ₦80.2 billion and other financial improprieties.

During a recent media briefing, the EFCC chairman expressed determination to step down if unable to prosecute Bello, whom he accused of avoiding arrest, detention, and legal proceedings.

In an interview with Arise TV, Bwala criticized the EFCC chairman’s press conference as resembling a “media trial,” highlighting the agency’s perceived disregard for due process. He suggested that such actions indirectly facilitate opportunities for the accused to evade justice.

Bwala pointed out the lack of equal treatment in the EFCC’s approach, noting discrepancies in how privileges are extended, citing instances where Bello allegedly received preferential treatment while others, like Bobrisky, did not.

He questioned the necessity of debating the substance of charges publicly when legal procedures were already in motion, emphasizing that such actions only fuel suspicions of persecution rather than genuine pursuit of justice.

Bwala’s remarks underscore concerns about the EFCC’s handling of high-profile cases and its potential impact on public trust in the judicial process.
