Court Blocks FG From Disbursing Funds To Rivers State Amid Assembly Leadership ConflictThe Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Federal Government to stop releasing monthly allocations to Rivers State due to a lawsuit filed by the faction of the Rivers State House of Assembly led by Hon. Martins Amaewhule. The lawsuit, referenced as FHC/ABJ/CS/984/24, was brought by the Amaewhule faction in response to allegations that Governor Siminalayi Fubara had not adhered to previous court directives. The defendants named in the case include the CBN, Zenith Bank Plc, Access Bank Plc, the Accountant-General of the Federation, Governor Fubara, the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), and the Chief Judge of Rivers State, among others
