The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikom Local Government Area (LGA) of Cross River State, Matthew Egomo, along with his son, who were abducted on November 19, remain unrecovered…CONTINUE READING
The abduction occurred on Ikom Ogoja Road, near Afi River in Nde Ward, approximately 15 km from the headquarters of Ikom LGA.
Reports suggest that the police successfully dealt with the five-member gang responsible for kidnapping the APC chairman.
SP Irene Ugbo, the State Police Command PRO currently on leave, expressed unawareness of the incident but pledged to gather information.
In a separate incident within Ikom LGA, kidnappers allegedly received a ransom of over N50 million from another victim, the proprietor of a nursery school, who was kidnapped a few weeks ago.
